Look Good and Feel Good: How To Prepare For Your Wedding Day

The day has finally arrived. You have been planning your wedding for months, if not years, and now it’s time for you to walk down the aisle and say “I do.” With all of the planning and hype around saying your vows in front of everyone you know, you may be wondering how you can avoid bringing that stress into your big day.

Before you find yourself feeling too overwhelmed to enjoy the experience, here are five tips to help you look and feel good on your wedding day.

  1. Take Care of Your Skin

When we are overly stressed, different parts of our body can suffer. The most apparent one is your skin. There are dozens of ways in which you can start taking proper care of your complexion before and even beyond your wedding day.

Start a proper skincare regimen through the use of Face Reality moisturizers, exfoliants, and other serums. They will give you that bridal glow you deserve on the day you say, “I do.”

  1. Test Your Hair and Makeup Early

When it comes to hair and nails, you may have a certain look in mind for your wedding day. But the last thing you want on your wedding day is to hate the way you look because it did not come out like you anticipated.

Always test your hair and makeup before your wedding day. This way, if you don’t like it, you still have an ample amount of time to switch it up to find the perfect look.

  1. Get Fitted For Your Dress Early

If you want to look good, you need to feel good. You probably spent a lot of money on a dress. But what if your tailor won’t be able to get your dress back to you in time because you waited until the week before to get it fitted?

To alleviate this stress, get your dress fitted early on in the process. However, don’t get it fitted too early. You may have started a regimented wedding workout routine and have lost a few pounds.

Your body will undoubtedly change between the time you buy your dress and your wedding day. Two months is usually a good time frame. This allows you to feel your best when you tear it up on the dance floor.

  1. Get Plenty of Rest

A few days leading up to your wedding is the most crucial for your mental well-being as well as your physical well-being. Do what you can to make sure you are getting plenty of rest. This could be asking a family member to help out watching your kids or spending a few days at a hotel to truly get the rest your body needs.

  1. Don’t Forget To Be in the Moment

During your wedding, you will be running around shaking hands with your guests and hugging your new family members. You will be catching up with Aunt Sally and seeing how Grandpa Henry is doing since you last saw him. The day might feel like a lot which is why it’s important to take time to recenter yourself.
The most important thing to remember on your wedding day is to not forget to be present at the moment. You have been working so hard to make this day worth every moment. You won’t want to look back at your wedding photos only to see yourself looking stressed out. In order to look your best, you need to feel your best, too.
