How Powerful Can a New Baby Card Be?

How you personally feel about the fact that your friend just gave birth is irrelevant when it comes to offering the support and love they need. Whether you’re ambivalent, excited, or even envious, none of that matters, because as a friend, your role is simply to be there for them when they need you the most.

You may find yourself thinking that babies are nothing new, there are millions of them in the world. However, as you well know, for the new mother the arrival of that tiny new life is one of the most important milestones in her life. A momentous occasion that is both physically and emotionally exhausting, terrifying, and overall amazing.

Sending a group greeting card to let her know that you’re thinking of her and the baby and that you’re there for her if she needs you, could be just the type of moral and emotional support she needs at this time.

But won’t my card just be one among many?

Well, even if that were true (which it often isn’t), a group card like Wishyoo makes forgetting that much more difficult, since your handwriting can be part of that message. When a group of good friends and even family combine wishes of love into one common group ecard, it becomes a memento that can be preserved forever.

I never send cards; they’re a waste of money and bad for the environment.

Choosing not to send cards to celebrate an occasion may just be how you personally feel, and it might be an understandable response to the crisis the planet is facing. However, technology has been trying to solve this problem and today you could send a special e-card to a friend, family member, or colleague for a very low cost and save some trees in the process as that card will help others see the path to a cleaner future. No trees involved, no postage, and no waste whatsoever.

Why should you bother sending a new baby card?

Leading the creation of a baby card that can be signed by the whole gang it’s an easy way of showing someone that you care. And who says you can’t still pick up the phone and congratulate them, or call in and meet the new family member?

That said, it’s important to remember that for the first few days, weeks, and maybe even months, new mothers are often tired and struggling to find a routine for both themselves and the baby. An ecard is a perfect way to let them know that you want to be with them whenever they are ready to grab their device and enjoy those messages, pictures, and doodles.

So, even if you’re an environmental warrior or simply a Scrooge who doesn’t like sending cards, they really are making it easy to show someone that you love them and are thinking about them with very little effort.

What a card and not a text?

There are many studies that place at around 40 the number of texts that a person receives and sends every day as average. Just ask yourself how special would make you feel to be part of those messages, no matter how many funny cats jump around on your screen.

The fact that you are putting some thought into finding the right technology and inviting family and friends to be part of a unique piece of content is the kind of gesture that is remembered for life.

Not only the future mother will be able to see everyone’s messages on the same card, but she will enjoy images, stickers, voices, and other drawings that will be impossible to put together any other way.

Attaching a gift to your wish

There are many group ecards today that allow you to add a gift where everyone can contribute after they sign the card. The gift and the ecard will travel together and by asking others to chip in online, you eliminate the guessing game and can give a more expensive and meaningful gift that comes from everyone.

Gifting online is today easier than ever and technology allows the person who creates the card to collect contributions without having to chase around slackers.

When the person who is closest to the new mom knows she wanted that super-stroller, it becomes a group effort that makes things easier from everyone. But let’s knot forget that baby list. You can also place on a group ecard like WishYoo a link to a baby registry that people can access and use to send a gift from that list… more choices is what group greetings can offer to make everyone happy.
