When Should You Get A Sectional Sofa vs. A Regular Sofa

So you’re having a hard time deciding between the two: what kind of couch should work for your space and needs? Well, there are many factors that can help with this decision but first let’s think about preference.

Most people will say they like sectional sofas better because they offer more comfort than standard types do, on top of being able to stretch out in every direction (which feels great after sitting at desks all day) as well as turn into different shapes without needing much effort.

If it has been a while since you’ve had something new or maybe just need extra seating during parties, then this is also an important consideration. No matter which type you choose, opting for upholstery fabric stain resistant types will give you a lot more peace of mind.

Sectional Sofas

It’s hard to find the right couch for your living room. There are so many options available. But if you’re looking for a sectional sofa, there are four common configurations, and most can be rearranged; however, we decide they should go – whether on their own or as part of another arrangement (like an L shape).

Chaise Sectionals

The chaise sectional is a sofa-like alternative to the traditional couch. Instead of just one seat, it has two cushions that can be positioned on either side and are great for curling up at night with some Netflix or reading your favorite book.

L-Shaped Sectionals

The L-Shaped sectional sofa has a unique design that is often considered to be more stylish than other styles. This type of seating offers five cushions per seat, two on one side and three across from it, with one in the middle connecting them all together. This means you can stretch out comfortably however far or close your friends and or family may end up sitting next to you.

U-Shaped Sectionals

U-shaped sectionals offer a lot of seating and are great for larger families. These sofas typically have an open middle with two equal side chairs, which make them perfect if you’re expecting guests or want extra room to relax in.

Pit Sectionals

A pit sectional is a perfect solution for people who love to sit and snuggle up with their loved ones. These cozy sofas can be customized in any number of ways, making them the ultimate place-to-be. And they can easily turn into a sofa bed when you add the middle section.

When to Rather Choose a Regular Sofa

Unlike sectional sofas, a regular sofa can’t be customized in the same way. But while a sectional sofa is more versatile than a regular sofa, it takes up a lot more space than your average regular sofa.

You may rather want to opt for a regular sofa if you have a small living room. This is because sectionals can easily crowd a small living room while overwhelming the look of the other furniture. Whether you choose a regular or a sectional sofa, think about investing in an easy clean sofa so you can use it for years to come.
