Salted Lemon-Ginger Spritzer
A tad sweet, gently tart, and with a hint of brininess, this spritzer takes inspiration from the salty lemonade enjoyed in Vietnam as a cooling refreshment. It's a concoction that can endure in the fridge without ice and ginger beer, making it a great candidate for preparing a generous batch to help you stay refreshed throughout the summer.If you decide to incorporate ginger kombucha, please be aware that although most brands don't meet the legal definition of alcoholic beverages according to the Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau, they may contain trace amounts (up to 0.5 percent). If you prefer an entirely non-alcoholic option, consider using non-alcoholic ginger beer or ginger ale.
- In a large wine glass, place the lemon and salt. Lightly muddle them using the back of a spoon to release some of the oils and juices. Add lemon juice and ginger (if desired), then add plenty of ice and ginger beer. Finish by garnishing with a lemon wedge or a slice of fresh ginger.
