Neck Lift Tampa and Other Ways to Stop Aging

It seems like everybody is trying to look younger than they actually are. Two of the biggest giveaways to a person’s actual age are their neck and hands. This is why many people have started to consider a neck lift Tampa. Alongside the neck lift, there are some other options that may help you look younger from head to toe.

Neck Lift Tampa

A Tampa neck lift may seem intimidating, but with the right professional care, it is something you can easily manage. It is exactly what it sounds like — it tightens the skin around your neck to eliminate any sagging that comes with age. Some people choose to do a neck lift and a facelift at the same time, but that’s entirely optional.

Sometimes, the face may not give away as many signs of aging as the neck. Skin elasticity changes with age, which is nothing to be ashamed of. If you are looking for a solution, you can look into anti-aging surgeries. If cosmetic surgery feels too extreme or you are unsure about taking that step, there are some preventative measures you could take right now to minimize the appearance of aging in the future. Even if you are showing signs of aging already (which is normal), you can do the following to slow the process.

Sunscreen

Wearing sunscreen every day can greatly help with aging and hyperpigmentation. Even when the sun is not out, your skin can still be harmed by UV rays which can cause discoloration. This can especially happen on the face if you are not wearing sunscreen under your makeup. There are days where you may think it’s unnecessary to wear sunscreen, but it is better to be safe than sorry.

You may also find yourself overwhelmed by the options for SPF levels. Low protection SPF is below 15, medium protection is 15-29, high protection is 30 to 49, and very high is anything above 50. There are special formulations of high protection/very high protection sunscreens for the face that are for use under makeup or other skin products. If you are wearing clothes that cover the rest of your body, you can choose to not wear sunscreen there, but you should always wear it on your face. It will even out your skin tone and prevent any future marks from appearing on your skin. This can be the secret to looking younger than you really are.

Moisturizer

Applying moisturizer to your body daily helps with the aging process as well. Moisturization keeps your skin smooth and hydrated. Our skin can dry out with activity and general day-to-day life, and it is important to maintain it. People will put lotion on their elbows and knees often, but they may disregard the rest of the body which needs the same level of care. Moisturization is a preventative measure.

If you get in the habit of moisturizing daily, your skin will become soft and stay that way. It can be very nourishing to the skin, especially if your moisturizer contains things like hyaluronic acid and Vitamin C. It’s never too late to start moisturizing daily, either. If you are already worried about signs of aging, prevent them from getting worse by moisturizing.

Definitely moisturize after you shower, but try to do it once in the morning or before bed (whichever one you do not shower during) as well. If you rinse your face with water and put lotion on, you will feel fresh and your skin will feel hydrated. Make sure you are showering regularly, though.

There are many different kinds of moisturizers on the market and you can pick ones that fit your needs. Don’t be afraid to mix and match, either! If you have any concerns, you can always speak to your primary care physician or dermatologist.

Exfoliation

Exfoliation has always been popular, but be sure not to overdo it. You should really only be exfoliating two to three times a week, and even then you should check that number with your doctor or dermatologist because everyone’s skin reacts differently.

Exfoliation is often done with a scrub or loofah-like tool (or both) and it is meant to get rid of the dead skin on your body. Most people can’t even see the dead skin buildup on their body, but it is definitely there. It’s a natural thing that happens as we go about our day. Exfoliating while you shower is a way to get rid of all the dead skin and trapped dirt and leave your body feeling smooth.

It’s also very hygienic to get rid of this buildup on your body. The smoothness combined with the hygiene help the anti-aging process. If you pay attention to your body, it will look and feel better, and exfoliation is just one of the things you can do to achieve this. Exfoliating scrubs and loofahs/exfoliating towels can be found at most beauty stores as well as supermarkets.

Hydration

It’s been mentioned for this entire article, but hydration deserves its own section. It is very important to drink enough water every day. The recommended adequate water intake is about two liters a day. This can change depending on your medical history, body type and weight, so be sure to ask a doctor if you should be drinking more or less water for health. Generally, though, your body will tell you when it is thirsty. Listen to it.

Don’t ignore feelings of thirst, because they can then spiral into dehydration and you may have to seek medical help. If you get in the habit of drinking a good amount of water every day, you will notice health benefits and slow the aging process. Some days, like when you exercise or when it is hot outside, you may need to drink more water than usual. As long as you are trying to be in touch with your body, it should not be a problem.

Moisturizers, as mentioned above, lock in hydration in your skin. For there to be anything to lock in in the first place, you need to drink water and hydrate your body.
