What does she do to stay in shape? If you thought you can blame it all on genetics and wealth, we’re here to prove you wrong.

Rule number 1: Water is the most important.
According to Jenny, “Drinking plenty of water, especially before a workout, can help you push harder and get more out of your exercise routine,” as she told Hello!.
“I try to keep my body hydrated and well-rested after every workout,” she said.
Rule number 2: No Caffeine or alcohol.
Although she loves coffee, Lopez hasn’t had caffeine in years. She still drinks coffee, but she makes sure it’s decaffeinated.
Moreover, her nutritionist Haylie Pomroy got her to stop drinking alcohol altogether.
Rule number 3: Eating clean and sticking to healthy foods.
Tracy Anderson is the trainer of Jenifer’s. When speaking about Jenny, she told People: “I have her eating very clean because she needs really good fuel for all the things that she’s doing. It’s all organic and it’s all very well thought out, with the balance of very high-quality proteins and a lot of nutrient-dense food… everything is fresh.”
The singer and actress also said she’s always careful about what she puts in her body, even when dining out with friends. This is something that she doesn’t compromise – processed and refined foods are out of the question.
“Most restaurants offer healthy, low-calorie meals so I watch for things on the menu that fit my lifestyle. I’ll have a salad or some fish with veggies. And I make sure I drink lots of water throughout the meal,” Jenny told Hollywood Life.

Rule number 4: Getting enough high-quality protein.
Nutritionist Haylie Pomroy worked with Jennifer Lopez and she told the Preventive Magazine “Lopez’s diet consisted of lean proteins and non-starchy veggies along with some healthy fats and complex carbs—like brown rice and sweet potatoes.”
Rule number 5: Regular but diverse workouts
Okay, so this one doesn’t come as a surprise seing she has the body most of us dream of. However, regularly doesn’t mean working twice or three times a week for an hour.
Lopez works out daily and she wants to do it in the morning. “I don’t like doing it later; it’s harder to get there when I have my day going already,” she told Hollywood Life.
Plus, she doesn’t like to do one thing. Jenifer dances, does cardio, butt workouts, fitness, kickboxing, HIIT training, and so on.
Rule number 5: A lot of butt workout
In an interview with Insider, her trainer David Kirsch said that the platypus walk is the key exercise in Jen’s butt workouts. According to the trainer, it’s the “the quickest, most effective workout for your butt, the inner thighs and lifts and tones the butt.”
