After long time dating, being married and having kids, you barely expect to get any birthday present from your husband, yet alone something special. Just the fact that you know each other so well and have given each other so much, makes it difficult to find a present that is new and exciting. But, where there’s a will, there’s a way, and one creative husband has proven that.

The proud father of a baby boy Ernst Berlin wanted to make his wife’s first birthday with their son something she’ll never forget. Discovering Reddit Gets Drawn he posted family photos and hired 23 artists to remake those photos into paintings or drawings in different style. What he got in return was far better than even he imagined. After framing and hanging all the artwork in their bedroom, the big reveal got just the reaction he was looking for: surprise and pure joy. And the commissions for the artists were a small price to pay for something that will last a lifetime.

It just goes to show what can be accomplished with love and a little forethought. To see the rest of the collection visit Berlin’s site.
