Family Gets Even Bigger: Hilaria Baldwin and Alec Baldwin Reveal The Sex of Baby No. 5

The Baldwin family is getting even bigger. Alec Baldwin, 61, and wife Hilaria, 35, last month announced they’re having another baby. However, on Saturday Hilaria Baldwin shared a video on her Instagram, how they’re telling the other kids whether they’re getting a brother or a sister.

The couple has four children together. Carmen, 6, brothers Rafael, 4, Leonardo, 4, and Romeo, 1.  Alec also has a 23-year-old daughter with ex-wife Kim Basinger.

The family is really close and constantly shares photos and videos of them together.

This time, the parents wanted to surprise their children in a fun way and document the moment. The whole idea was for the kids to pick up baby dolls wrapped in white swaddle blankets, placed in baby carriages. In the video posted on Saturday, on Hilaria’s Instagram, you can see Carmen picking up her doll.

“OK, Carmen, open it up,” you hear Hilaria’s voice. “It’s a girl!” the child yells, after which Alec and Hilaria hug her.

Until now, we still don’t know far Hilaria is, but we sure hope everything goes as plans and the family gets another sister.

The news that the Baldwins are having another child came just five months after Hilaria revealed that she had suffered a miscarriage.

The recent miscarriage

In April, Hilaria posted a photo in her underwear showing her little bump. But, the message below the image got everyone’s attention.

I want to share with you that I am most likely experiencing a miscarriage. I always promised myself that if I were to get pregnant again, I would share the news with you guys pretty early, even if that means suffering a public loss. I have always been so open with you all about my family, fitness, pregnancies…and I don’t want to keep this from you, just because it isn’t as positive and shiny as the rest. I think it’s important to show the truth…because my job is to help people by being real and open. Furthermore, I have no shame or embarrassment with this experience. I want to be a part of the effort to normalize miscarriage and remove the stigma from it. There is so much secrecy during the first trimester. This works for some, but I personally find it to be exhausting. I’m nauseous, tired, my body is changing. And I have to pretend that everything is just fine—and it truly isn’t. I don’t want to have to pretend anymore. I hope you understand. So, this is what is going on now: the embryo has a heartbeat, but it isn’t strong, and the baby isn’t growing very much. So we wait—and this is hard. So much uncertainty…but the chances are very, very small that this is a viable pregnancy. I have complete confidence that my family and I will get through this, even if the journey is difficult. I am so blessed with my amazing doctor, my dear friends, and my loving family…My husband and my four very healthy babies help me keep it together and have the perspective of how truly beautiful life is, even when it occasionally seems ugly. The luck and gratitude I feel that I am my babies’ mommy, is wonderfully overwhelming and comforting. In your comments, please be kind. I’m feeling a bit fragile and I need support. I’m hoping, that by sharing this, I can contribute to raising awareness about this sensitive topic.

Alec’s wife revealed she’s having a miscarriage. In a lengthy post she wrote:

“I want to share with you that I am most likely experiencing a miscarriage. Hilaria wrote that she wanted to be a part of the effort to normalize miscarriage and remove the stigma from it, which is the reason why she shared the photo.

The shocking Instagram post divided people’s opinions. A lot of people expressed their love and support, although many also commented that she should keep that to her self.

We guess no one expected the family to move over so quickly. The couple have a one-year-old child, a miscarriage five months ago, and already another pregnancy on the way.

Just a month ago, Alec Baldwin was on “Saturday Night Live” with buddy Kevin Nealon, where he revealed that they are definitely gearing up to have a fifth child together.

Nealon then asked Baldwin: “It’s in the oven?”, to which Baldwin responded, “No. No, no, no — not that I know of.”

Well, a lot of things can change in a month! And, we all know now. Wishing them all the luck and happiness.
