Feeling sleepy every morning?
I can’t wait to get up from bed.
No, I’m serious. There are plenty of things I need to do during the day.
One of the main reasons why I get up early is breakfast.
Every day new invention is coming out from the kitchen.
After that, I’m headed to the gym.
And the day started perfectly.
Many people don’t have time to go to the gym.
Or they are just making excuses. I won’t get into that now.
Luckily for them I’m a real tough cookie. You can’t ditch me that easily.
I tend to make you live a healthy life by any means.
To start the day perfectly you need to do something to boost your body and soul.
Energizing yourself in the morning is crucial.
These simple things will become your ritual. Your habit.
You will wake up knowing that there is something you need to do right away.
This will take only 5 minutes. I promise.
Are you willing to trade 5 minutes of your time to feel better through the day?
If the answer is yes, let’s start!
Stretch
Good morning. Did you get a good night sleep?
Awesome.
Visit the bathroom and let’s begin stretching up.
You need to boost some energy in your system. Having a good night sleep recharges batteries, but stretches in the morning plug them in.
Gets them on fire!
This 5-minute exercise will get your blood going. It will reduce the stress and tension you feel.
Start with your neck and shoulders. Continue with your chest, back and quads. Finish the stretch period with your hamstrings and calves.
Wake up on time
You won’t get this from the first time. You have to be patient. Don’t quit.
Waking up on time is crucial.
It will become a habit. Your body will be ready for you. Somehow it will expect from you to stand up and do your morning ritual.
Snoozing the alarm is really bad. When you get up you feel like someone has been beating the soul out of you during your sleep.
According to this research, the terrible morning habit of snoozing the alarm clock could lead to several mental health issues.
There are tons of ups that will make sure you are not goint to snooze it over and over again.
Set Your Internal Clock
Have you woken up before your alarm clock?
This usually happens when you are programmed to not be late in the morning.
That’s the internal clock. It’s set up. Your whole sleeping period is programmed and controlled by this internal clock.
See this study by the Harvard Medical School.
It says that those who sleep more than 9 hours secrete more of the melatonin hormone.
That’s more than the people who sleep 6 hours or less.
Always Have a Cup of Lemon Water
I said lemon water. You know that simple detox water we drink during the day?
Right when you get up in the morning, a cup of warm water with lemon will give you effective refresh.
It helps you increase the flow of the digestive juices, cleanse the body and reset your pH balance.
I’ve talked about a similar routine here.
Do Your Workout in the Morning
If you don’t have time for the gym, you can do exercises at home.
Let’s set up a challenge.
Do a simple workout in the morning. Before you start, write down how you feel.
Do your workout.
After you finish, write down how you feel after the workout.
Do this for a week. Compare what you’ve written down and share this with me.
As a matter of fact, don’t share it. I already know.
Read this study that talks about morning workouts
Read in Bed
Reading your daily tasks while you are still in bed might be a good idea after all.
This is another way to wake up your mind. Reading all the e-mails or news from your bed could have some benefits.
Make sure you won’t feel asleep again.
Iron-packed Breakfast
Remember when I told you that no.1 reason to get out of bed is the breakfast?
Try iron-rich breakfast. It’s the perfect start of the day.
Breakfast without iron could lead to feeling sluggish, passive, weak and unable to focus.
Make sure your breakfast include eggs, leafy vegetables, beans, peanut butter or tofu.
Here are other foods rich in iron:
Don’t Oversleep on Weekends
Weekends could mess things up. I know you are free from work. I know you deserve to sleep little bit more.
But why?
You will ruin everything. It’s tough to develop a habit, but very easy to break one.
Keep up with the schedule even on the weekends.
Start your day like you start every work day.
Like this, you won’t feel the hate you have for Mondays. Every day will be same.
Are you ready to make some changes?
Keep calm and implement them slowly. Don’t give up on the first failed day.
You are not that kind of a person.
Do you think your friends will love to see this? Let’s find out by sharing this with them!
