Forget about having a big, beautiful and heavily decorated Christmas tree this year if you have toddlers or younger kids running about. You will have to go with something smaller that you can place out of their reach or you can keep them entertained with one of these 18 brilliant toddler-friendly Christmas trees.

You simply can’t stop toddlers from messing with the Christmas tree. They want to play with the shiny ornaments, pull the Christmas lights or just topple the Christmas tree over from running about. Never mind having to redecorate the Christmas tree every day, the tree itself is a safety hazard for the child in many ways: from choking on an ornament, to getting shocked by the lights to the tree falling on top of the child. These all might seem silly and unlikely, but are very real possibilities.
Christmas doesn’t have to be ruined without a Christmas tree. There are plenty of ways to make a very practical and educational tree just for the toddlers, as shown in our list. It will not only keep them well entertained, but you will have plenty of room left for playing and you can even put the presents under it. All of these projects are great and so easy everyone can make them. Don’t worry, you can still have a real Christmas tree in addition to these or you can wait a year or two for the kids grow up.

Thanks for sharing my project from So Sew Easy. It also has a great easy set of felt ornaments you can sew up in minutes too. Here is the link to the easiest ever felt ornaments – http://wp.me/p2WfGc-2EL
