Aviation Fundamentals 101

Technology has played an undisputed role in easing every aspect of life. Today the world is considered a global village thanks to the numerous industrial inventions that have made things run smoothly no matter the geographical situation. For instance, internet technology has made communication and learning more comfortable by ensuring users are connected and can contact one another regardless of the distance that sets them apart. In the same way, traveling is easier today than in the past, owing to the constant innovation that has taken place over the past ten decades.

From the invention of cars to cruise ships, transport has become more comfortable, and one has the will to choose from different means of transport he/ she wishes. Long ago, distant travels were hectic and cost a lot since the only means available were waterways. This mode of transport was risky, and it took time for travelers to reach their destinations. In the wake of the plane invention, things started changing as this made traveling overseas faster, cheaper, and more efficient. Over time this mode of transport has undergone fine-tuning to become the world’s best means of travel. Authorities have come up with measures to keep air travel safe by introducing features such as FAR Part 135 training to the aviation scene.

The Obligations of FAR Part 135 Regulations

Out of the several regulatory measures imposed on the aviation industry stakeholders, FAR Part 135 is the strictest of them. These are a certificate issued to a trained aircraft operator stating qualification after considering that all the operating requirements are met. FAR Part 135 requires that the pilot in question remain in command of the entire single flight and must have attained at least 1,500 hours of experience.

Training

Air travel has proven safe since airplane or aircraft crashes are minimal compared to other means such as road and water transport. It is important to note that this mode of transport is that previous accidents on record have been devastating. Stringent measures continue to emerge to prevent any fault that may put passengers’ lives in danger. For safety precautions, all staff members aboard a given flight must have undergone thorough scrutiny and training to maintain the standards set. For aircraft carrying between one to thirty occupants, the flight pilots and co-pilots are obligated to pass through FAR Part 135 training to attain a certification that gives them the limelight to proceed with the flight.

Safety Protocol

The FAR Part 135 elaborately outlines every passenger’s information on board the aircraft and any other thing that might otherwise be a safety concern. These operating requirements describe the procedures one is supposed to take if he/she wants to engage in smoking or orders alcoholic beverages. Additionally, it gives some restricting commands on who must or must not sit on the pilot’s or co-pilot’s chair. All these considerations are essential in ensuring that the flight is smooth and safe from factors that may result in a fatal crash if not taken care of appropriately.
