A Woman Shows How Domestic Violence Looks Like with Every Day Selfies

Domestic violence is a common problem around the world.

The National Coalition Against Domestic Violence (NCADV) revealed that over 10 million Americans are exposed to domestic physical violence every day.

That’s roughly about 20 people every single minute.

It’s a type of violence that affects everyone. Men or women. The study shows that 76% of the victims are women.

What frightens me the most is that only half of these cases are reported to the law enforcement under criminal domestic law.

It all comes to power and control. We can talk as much as we want saying that molested people should report the violence to the police, but it’s not like that.

The scare factor is big as a mountain.

A video by a Serbian woman opened the eyes for many women. This brave female showed her struggle by taking selfies every day.

The last selfie made me cry.

I hope this woman that shows that domestic violence is a serious thing will inspire others to report something like this.
