Wait until I share this solar powered grill with my family. I’ve shared with you that every Sunday is BBQ Sunday in my family.
It’s in our blood, and that’s probably the only day when we can gather around and share our experiences throughout the week.
Okay, science. I see what you did there.
The best thing about this grill is that it uses the natural energy to replace the damaging emission released in the air.
During the day, this grill is collecting the power of the sun to allow us to cook BBQ for the day.
It’s been a while since I saw a good innovation like this.

Our (now) old-fashioned grills are harmful to the environment. The wood chips, propane, and charcoal are not getting along with the air too much.
The only thing you need to know is that the dangerous emissions create poor air quality.
With these solar powered grills, the innovators won our hearts again.
The person behind this is MIT professor David Wilson. He found a way to transform the solar technology and bring a solar powered grill that functions at night. It will be highly beneficial for those nations where the sun is very powerful and unlimited source and countries that depend on wood for cooking.
The whole concept collects the sun and stores it in the latent heat of the kitchen. It can cook up to 25 hours at temperatures above 450 degrees Fahrenheit.
This cooker uses Fresnel lens to hold the energy that’s coming from the sun and melt the Lithium Nitrate container. It’s the container that acts as a thermal-storing battery for 25 hours. After that, the heat is released for our favorite way to cook outside.
Smart huh?
“There are a lot of solar cookers out there,” Wilson says, “but surprisingly not many using latent-heat storage as an attribute to cook the food.”
The thing that excites me the most is the idea of saving the environment while getting the same BBQ result.
We need to be prepared for the future inventions. Solar powered grills are coming and we are ready to surprise some member of the family with a present like that.
