The Story of Abducted 12-year-old Girl Saved by Three Dangerous Lions

Not every day you hear a story like this one where three dangerous lions save abducted a 12-year-old girl.

The story comes from Ethiopia where it seems like women are not welcomed into the society. They are treated like a lost piece of the puzzle. Women live in a constant fear of being raped, abducted, and forced into marriage.

So, they are equal to a piece of paper.

The worst thing here is that everyone knows what’s happening in there and the authorities don’t do anything because it’s probably a religion thing.

According to the latest information from NBC News, kidnapping young girls has been accepted as a marriage custom in this land.

The Story of Abducted 12-year-old Girl Saved by Three Dangerous Lions

Approximately 70% of the marriages are forced like this, and the whole practice goes through in the rural areas where most of the population lives.

The population in Ethiopia is 71 million people.

Maybe abducting little girls is common, but a story like this is rare.

A 12-year-old girl was beaten and kidnapped by men. These males were forcing her into a marriage, but she gave her best to resist the cause.

Their parents were worried about something like this is happening while the authorities have been tirelessly searching for her. She was missing for a whole week.

When the hope was slowly fading away, three wild lions came as heroes here saving the abducted 12-year-old girl.

The police officers found her on the outskirts of Bita Genet. She had bruises all over her body. They couldn’t get to her easily because she was guarded by these three lions I mentioned before.

It seems the three dangerous lions chased away the captors.

According to Sgt. Wodinimu Wedajo:

“They stood guard until we found her and then they just left her like a gift and went back into the forest.”

Stuart Williams, an expert on wildlife, revealed that it could be the little girl’s crying that saved her.

“A young girl whimpering could be mistaken for the mewing sound from a lion cub, which in turn could explain why they didn’t eat her.”

The whole neighborhood is in shock and thinks this is a miracle. Typically, lions attack people. The police are still searching for the attackers. They found only four out of seven.

I don’t know if I’m mad about the situation or happy that the girl is found safe.

Think about all those girls who are going through the same emotions every day scared if they are going to see their parents ever again.
