Sister, Sister! Talk about a two way twister! If you know then you know – Sister, Sister was THE program back in the day! I’ve seen all the episodes dozens of times and worshipped Tia and Tamera.
Stars of the show Tia and Tamera Mowry sparked an internet meltdown by talking about a possible reboot of the hilarious 90s sitcom.
Tia came on her sister’s talk show The Real to promote their “Twintuition’ children’s book. But Tamera’s co- hosts couldn’t pass up the chance to ask the duo about the rumors surrounding a Sister, Sister revival.
The twins who are now wives and mothers revealed that there were a few obstacles in the way. “Everything that my sister and I have done, it’s never been easy. We always find that we have to work extra hard,” Tamera admitted to the hosts. “We don’t know why.”
“There’s always some sort of challenge,” Tia added. But the 38-year-old’s (WHAT? 38?!) encouraged fans of the show to get it trending via social media.
The Real co-host Adrienne Bailon talked about how important a reboot of Sister Sister would be for minority communities.
“They’re rebooting all the other shows, it would be nice to see a show with women of color,” Bailon said.
Then the The Real hosts got us ridiculously excited. The twins were supposed to do a Sister, Sister trivia game moderated by Loni Love.
But their former co-star Marques Houston, who played their neighbor Roger on the show, surprised them and lead the segment.
And of course, the Mowry sisters ended the segment with the iconic Sister, Sister line: “Go home, Roger!”
Taking to social media afterwards, the co-stars continue to share their joy at the mini reunion moment – sparking more calls for a permanent one.
Houston wrote on Instagram: “We never grow up lol me and my day 1 bestie @tiamowry wow! It’s been so many years, and to still have such a great relationship is just a true blessing. I love you always.”
