Games For Couples: 16 Games You Can Play With Your Loved One

Ah, Games for couples. Games are fun and competitive pass time activity.

But you know what’s even more fun? Finding a game that can be played with your partner.

Let’s start with the classic games for couples. Nothing beats the old but irreplaceable classic games that have been part of so many generations before. Don’t worry we’ll get to the more fresh, modern and god damn sexy, but first, we’ve got to cover the basics.

Board Games For Couples

Scrabble

Every word counts in Scrabble right? Each letter corresponds to a number and these numbers need to be added to compute for the word points. You can speedily compute for the word points using an online calculator at Calculator Bee. The competitive word game can make any occasion more interactive, fun and interesting, and it’s not created just for those who love the written word. You and your partner will love Scrabble on a dull Sunday evening, and it’s genuinely believed to be the most beloved game for couples out there…

Jenga

Did you know that the name of the game is derived from kujenga, a Swahili word which means “to build”? Makes sense, since that is the sole purpose of the game. You build a very high tower constructed of 54 blocks. Each block removed is then placed on top of the tower. As the tower gains height, it loses the structure in the foundation and a collapse is inevitable. Oh, and Ryan Gosling’s character in The Big Short tried to explain the housing market collapse by building a Jenga tower. How cool was that?

Pandemic

Let’s move on the more current games for couples, shall we?

Four diseases have broken out in the world of Pandemic and it is up to a team of specialists in various fields to find cures for these diseases before mankind is wiped out. You and your partner must work together playing to their characters’ strengths and planning their strategy of eradication before the diseases overwhelm the world with ever-increasing outbreaks. It’s intense. It’s exhilarating. The game can be enjoyed by the entire family, but also works like a charm in a two player combo. Give it a shot.

Forbidden Island

A strategic thinking, problem-solving game that is also the 2010 Mensa Favorite Brainy Games Winner? Yup. That’s Forbidden Island all right. This is a visually stunning cooperative board game, or as we like to call it… The perfect game for couples. Instead of winning by competing with other players like most games, everyone must work together to win the game. As the game progresses, more and more island tiles sink, becoming unavailable, and the pace increases. Players use strategies to keep the island from sinking while trying to collect treasures and items. As the water level rises, it gets more difficult- sacrifices must be made.

Video Games For Couples

Overwatch

Developed and published by Blizzard, Overwatch is a multiplayer first-person shooter video game. It’s extremely popular among couples and individuals alike, and just to give a hint how amazing it is… Since its release, Overwatch has become recognized as an eSport, with Blizzard helping to fund and produce professional leagues, such as the Overwatch League.

Overcooked

Do you and you partner love cooking as much as you like playing video games? Well, if you do, Overcooked is the perfect choice for you. It’s a cooking simulation game in which players control a number of chefs in kitchens filled with various obstacles and hazards to rapidly prepare meals to specific orders within a time limit. Just make sure you don’t burn that souffle, and you’ll be fine.

Assassins Creed series

Historical fiction mixed with real-world historical events and figures. Yeah, it’s a fantastic game for couples. Which is why it’s on our list of recommendations. Hey, and don’t get fooled by the disastrous film adaptation of the Ubisoft’s best selling franchise. The movie didn’t do the video games any justice in terms of excitement and adventure. Whichever game setting you chose (Third Crusade, Italian Renaissance, French or Russian revolution) you won’t be disappointed. The craftsmanship and imagination that have been poured into the gameplay are only eclipsed by the impressive open world environment laid out in front of you.

Monster Hunter

Another franchise but this one is from Capcom. The player in Monster Hunter takes the role of a Hunter (of course), slaying or trapping large monsters across various landscapes as part of quests given to them by the locals. And while the game has a high difficulty learning curve, it’s been one of the best and most beloved games for couples in many Asian countries (especially in Japan), but also in the Western markets. Oh and Paul S.W. Anderson (the director of Resident Evil movies) is currently developing a film adaptation of this very game with Milla Jovovich attached in the lead role.

Sex Games For Couples

Straight face

Now let’s move on to the fun part of this posts. These games for couples are also fun, and there is a big chance that you don’t remember much of the playing, but damn it… You only live once. Straight face is pretty straightforward. The players write sentences on small pieces of paper. What kind of sentences? The more ridiculous and raunchy the better. The sentences will be passed on and each player will attempt to read it without laughing. Hence… The title of the game. If you do laugh, you have to take a shot.

I’m Going to the Bar

It’s like I’m going to the picnic but with Tequila shots. The premise is quite basic, but the playing will get you floored and hammered. Now…. One player should say I’m going to the bar to get a beer. The second player should say the same sentence but with different drink. Keep adding the drinks until one of you can’t keep track (which will be pretty soon as you keep drinking) and the person that makes a blunder should take a shot.

True or False

You and your partner should write words on several pieces of paper. Roll a dice and if the dice hit on an even number you have to tell a true story involving the word in the piece of paper you chose. If you roll on an odd number you have to tell a fictitious story. The other player has to guess whether the story is true or false and to take a shot if it’s false.

Drinking Games For Couples

Drunk Jenga

Now, the rules of Jenga are explained in this post, but the drunken version of this game is of course much more fun. You and your partner basically have to take a drink whenever that wooden tower collapses on the grown. As you take more and more shots, that will happen more frequently but hey… it’s not called Drunk Jenga for nothing.

Stripped-down Twister

And we’re getting to the good stuff. After all the drinking and booze if you’re in the mood or you know what, Stripped-down Twister is the perfect recommendation. You’ll need the game of Twister and lots of Yoga positions on your part. You’ll also have to remove one item of clothing whenever you or your partner falls to the ground. And you know the rest.

Truth or Dare

A sexy twist to the old classic games for couples. You don’t need any props or accessories for this one. All you need is you and your man/woman. Use this as an opportunity to learn more about your partner and try your craziest sex fantasies. It’s fun and informative!

This is War

More like this is sexy war. Take a good fluffy pillow and start hitting each other. The first that surrenders in this „war“ has to perform a sexual favor for the winner. It’s best to both be but naked, but a striptease favor session can be quite the challenge beforehand.

sexy games for couples

Dessert bar

A sex game that involves food? Yes, please!. Take your favorite sweets and sugary treats and slowly arrange them on your partner’s body. Chocolate, candies or whipped cream… Eat them up one by one of each other, and at the very end hop in the shower to wash away the sticky sugar of your bodies.
