Angela Bassett Stuns In Red Gown With Thigh-High Slit At Creative Arts Emmys in LA

Angela Bassett does not age. From Waiting To Exhale to What’s Love Got To Do With It she is the epitome of #blackgirlmagic

She’s been around forever but I’m still shocked to realize she is now 59 years old.

Nevertheless she looked stunning as she arrived at the Creative Arts Emmys in Los Angeles on Sunday.

The much loved actress turned heads in a scarlet red gown that had a thigh-high slit at the front and a small train.

The sleeveless dress also had a one diagonal strap across the shoulder.

Angela finished the look with a pair of towering shiny silver heels with platform soles.

The mom-of-two accessorized with a small white clutch and wore her sleek short bobbed hair in a center parting.

The Oscar-nominee attended the event with her actor husband Courtney B. Vance, whom she wed in 1997.

Courtney – who won an Emmy playing Johnnie Cochran in the highly acclaimed The People Vs O.J Simpson: American Crime Story – looked dapper in a dark gray suit and black tie.

Angela was one of the celebrity presenters at the awards show that recognizes artistic and technical achievement.
